Citrus Grove

Citrus Grove

Hi friends. Vera here. Today, I am showcasing Citrus Grove Layering Stencil. I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it. It has such a fresh look to it that just caught my attention.

I start by layering the colors, using  Peach Blossom, Coralline, Lemon DropOlive and Spring Salad. As usual for the first  layer I just use light touch and added more ink of the same color for second layer with a bit more pressure on the brush and more ink. Then use the darker color on the 3rd layer. Then for the open space, I used Hot Tourmaline to fill up the area. I am not worrying too much of covering the whole area evenly as I feel the light and dark shade make it more fun and not as one dimensional.

Done with the inking, I adhere the panel to card base (you can also do the inking directly on t h ecard base, but I prefer to do it on a panel, in case I change my mind on how I want to use it). Finish by adding sentiment from an old set, called Toned Squares set and some mix size dew drops. Of course for sentiment you could use any sentiment you want. The beauty of card making, right?

I hope you enjoy today's card. That's all I have for today. May your day be a good one and let's spread kindness wherever we go. Till next time,
