Happy Thursday, fellow cardmakers!! Brenda back with a card featuring the Citrus Grove Layering Stencil Set!! I love lemon products for spring and summer!! Is there anything fresher?!? I had fun getting creative and combining a couple of goodies to create my own unique sentiment!!

I began by stenciling the Citrus Grove Layering Stencils onto a panel of white cardstock with the following inks: Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Honey, Soft Garden, Evergreen, Everglade Moss, Moonlight, Crystal Pewter and Cobalt Breeze. It was cut out with the second largest Rectangle A2 Nested Die. 

For the sentiment, I stamped "you're the" from the Smooched Stamp Set directly onto the background with Noir ink. The original sentiment is much longer, but I masked the rest of it off before inking it, then removed the mask before stamping it onto the background. "Zest" was die-cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock using the Bold Alphas Lower Coverplate Die Set. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then added to the background panel. I wrapped black and white baker's twine around the panel under the sentiment and tied it into a bow.

A panel of black cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the Striped Edge Nested Die Set, then the background was adhered to it with liquid glue. Glossy Black Opaque Gems were the perfect finishing touch.

I love how this turned out!! While I was cleaning up the mess in my craft room, I had another idea for a lemon card, so stay tuned...ha!!
