Pair of Hydrangea Cards

Pair of Hydrangea Cards

Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Brenda back with a pair of hydrangea cards to share with you today!!

My first card features the Hydrangea Border Layering Stencil Set...

I began by stenciling the Hydrangea Border Stencils onto a panel of white cardstock with Soft Amethyst, Periwinkle, Lavender, Miami Cool, Violet Fringe, Deep Sapphire, Olive and Everglade Moss inks. I smooshed a bit of Lavender and Miami Cool inks onto my glass mat, diluted it with water, then splattered it onto the panel with a paint brush.

Once the ink was dry, I die-cut the panel with the largest die in the Postage Nested Die Set. I used the second largest die in the Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set to cut a panel of light blue shimmer cardstock. I trimmed a panel of purple cardstock slightly smaller than A2, then adhered all the panels to an A2 white card base with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Ribbons General Stencil Set, was stenciled onto white cardstock with Soft Amethyst, Periwinkle, Lavender and Miami Cool inks. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up in the lower right with foam squares. Sky Blue Opaque Gems were the perfect finishing touch.

My second card features the Hydrangea Garden Layering Stencil Set...

The Hydrangea Garden Layering Stencils were blended onto white cardstock with the same inks that I used on my first card. I die-cut an oval from the center of the panel using the Double Stitched Oval Nested Die Set. I also die-cut a smaller oval from light blue shimmer cardstock and layered it behind the large panel, centering the oval behind the opening. The oval that was die-cut from the hydrangea panel was adhered behind the opening in the light blue shimmer cardstock. I trimmed the top and bottom of the panel slightly and adhered it to a panel of purple cardstock, leaving a thin strip of purple cardstock, then adhered it to a white A2 card base.

The sentiment for this one is from the Fancy Script Stamp Set. It was stamped with Violet Fringe ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up with foam squares.

Sky Blue Opaque Gems finish this one off, as well.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!

Brenda
