Watercolored Outline Floral Cards
Hi, everyone! I have picked up my watercolor paints again and it feels so good. I heat embossed our floral outline stamps on a few panels cut from watercolor paper. Then I painted them using Shinhan watercolors and Pental Aqua brushes.
I painted a few panels create from our Noteworthy Blooms, Gladiola Cheer, Bonny Blooms, Stellar Peony Duo, Coming Up Lilies and Amazing Gardenia stamps.

This process will explain how I created the Noteworthy Blooms card. However, the techniques apply to the other cards as well.
I start off by wetting my heat embossed panel with clean water first. Then I drop in color with my small waterbrush. Using the larger waterbrush, I blend that color out towards the outer edges of my floral petals. I repeat this step until I'm satisfied with the coverage. I also add secondary colors to my flowers. For example, I add orange or yellow paint to my red and orange florals respectively to give the florals a multi tone effect.
For my background I dropped in green and blue paint and blended them out. Don't worry too much about blending out your edges. Lean into the imperfections. I don't worry about staying inside the lines. Get messy and embrace the chaos.
Once I finished painting the panel, I trimmed it down to mat it onto an A2 panel. I popped up a sentiment from our Easy Expressions Sympathy set and added Iridescent dew drops.
Supplies used: Shinhan watercolors, Pentel Aqua Brushes in Large and Small, White embossing powder
