Mum Bouquet
Hello there. Vera here. I've been challenging myself to do 30 days of watercolor and today I am incorporating one of my watercolor background for my card featuring the Mum Bouquet Layering Stencil.

Doing 30 day watercolor challenge is literally a challenge for me, because sometimes mojo just wasn't cooperating or I wasn't feeling it. When that happened, I just do random watercolor wash that I figure I could use for card background one of this day. So, I started with this light wash.

I wet the paper and then just added drop of colors here and there. I didn't add a lot of pigment as I want the result to be soft as I don't know what I will end up using this for and soft coloring always easier to work with for me. Fast forward to when I finally use it, I decided to let the background color be my guidance in coloring the Mum stencil.

I used Hot Tourmaline, Peach Puff, Dolled Up and Soft Garden. The beauty of using stencil, you don't have to have tons of colored ink pads. Am only using 4 colors, but looks like I used more than that simply by varying the amount of ink used and the amount of pressure. I start with gentle pressure and just a small amount of ink for the first base layer and then added more with each layer. Done with the coloring, I trimmed the panel. Stamped sentiment from Heartfelt Blossoms.
Add some colored cardstock to the card base to create the color blocking and then add the panel on top of it and finish the card by adding some dew drops.

That's my card for today. Hope you enjoy today's post. Till next time friends. :)
